Celestial Mandala 2016

Back when I first started, very shyly, to post coloring pages instead of just printable boxes, one of my very first mandalas was a celestial one that has become one of my most popular designs. Since then, I've considered re-visiting the basic idea a few times, and finally did it this week.

The original celestial mandala is available HERE.

Stars, moons, rainbows and the sun- a new mandala to color

So yesterday someone posted a picture of Groovy Mandalas on one of the coloring lists I'm on- and a few people talked about how much they loved it, how it was their first or their favorite coloring book.

I'm feeling just.. wow. No words to express my gratitude.

So hopefully they will enjoy this mandala- with my thanks. Click the images below to print and color!

Rainbow moon coloring page

This weekend was awfully busy, but it was all working on other things like the new coloring book, some more fabric designs on Spoonflower and a ruffly crocheted bracelet (well, that will wind up being posted here). So this coloring page was part of a project that I was working on a while back. I hope you like it! If you print it on a translucent paper to color, it would be pretty in a window.

This weekend I decided that this week I'd re-read the Harry Potter books. So if you see a lot of wizard-y stuff in the next week or so, that's the reason why! Yesterday was year 1 and 2 and half of 3. Today I plan to finish 3 and possibly 4. Yay!

Buy the Don't Eat the Paste Mandala Coloring Collection! It has this and 49 other mandalas from this site.

Cute Little Vampire Printable Box and Coloring Page

It started with this cute little witch box, then I had to do a little Bride of Frankenstein's Monster box, and now a little vampire. All using the same body and face, with different dresses and coloring. I'm not sure if this is the last box in this series or not.

And here's the matching coloring page. As usual, in both JPG and transparent PNG formats.

Moon Phases Mandala

I love Facebook, especially when people like Samuel and Julie show me things they've done with the mandalas I've drawn. Thank you all for the encouragement and compliments!

I hope you enjoy this mandala. It's based on moon phases. The circle with the crossed lines is the astronomical and astrological symbol for earth. I filled in the quarters of that with the 4 traditional elements. I hope you enjoy it! Click on the images for larger versions.

A lovely night - photos

Last night we had dinner early so we could take a drive out of the city to see the stars, moon, and hopefully the aurora. Leaving the house, Michael pointed out the two planets shining high, like mirror images of Orion's shoulders, also in the sky.

Because it was night, I couldn't get photos of all the beauty. The mountains covered with snow and the bright moon shining behind the mountains. It was a bright full moon!

We noticed light banding at first, then the lights came out to play. Lime green colors across the sky.
