Life has been busy!

I'm currently working on a pattern for a small crocheted sachet, a couple book reviews, and this month's flower/birthstone mandala. But life has been insanely busy in good ways for the last couple of weeks.

First big news- my husband quit his job a bit over a month ago. He did it for very good reason, and I completely supported his decision, but it did leave us very tight. So he's been job hunting. As such things go, he narrowed it down to 3 positions he would like to have and all 3 gave him job offers at the same time. At his last job, he was working 12 hour days 6 or 7 days a week, always with the promise of more time off later, when it wasn't so busy. The new job is an 8 hour day. After weeks of 60 hour weeks,it's almost like he's working half days having him home so early! So we've been going out hiking, spending time in my garden and doing lots of other things as a family.

Second big news- Some amazing opportunities for me. I'm still really nervous about them, but one of them is a possible coloring book in the future! An actual, in print coloring book from one of my favorite coloring book publishers that you will be able to buy at your favorite book store! Can you believe it?

Also there will be some really fun things on this site this month. TG made a cozy for the mouse for her Chromebook and we plan to work together on a tutorial for that and a couple great giveaways.

It's been a whole lot of excitement, and there are more things coming up as well. I hope your summer is going great too!

  1. I went to Safeway to pick up some things and saw the ducktape display and guess what I spotted? Your owls! Of course a roll came home with me. Going to think of projects for me and my granddaughter. She is nine and loved the owls. Thanks Shala.
