Brontosaurus Coloring Page

Brontosaurus coloring page- blank available

I've never even tried drawing a dinosaur before, but Spoonflower has a contest going on and the them inspired me to try. I'd really appreciate a vote on my design, but there are a lot of great designs in the contest and you can vote for more than one. I'll put that information at the end of this post.

When I was a child studying dinosaurs in school, my teacher told the class when we were coloring them "Dinosaurs lived long before people, and all we have now is fossils. Nobody knows what colors they were, if they were patterned or not. They might  have had fur or feathers. There is no wrong way to color a dinosaur!"

I loved that. All my dinosaurs were polka dotted or striped and in the brightest colors possible.

Here are the blank pages. Click on the image for a larger version, print and color!

Creativity Quote to color

Quote art to color, the quote is in the banner across the word CREATIVITY and says
Living creatively is really important to maintain throughout your life. And living creatively doesn't mean only artistic creativity, although that's part of it. It means being yourself, not just complying with the wishes of other people. -Matt Groening
I got the idea for the layout of the text from one of the Kiki Lowenstein Scrap and Craft Mystery books. Cut, Crop and Die is available free in Kindle format now. They are cute little cozies with a scrapbooking theme.

Dragonfly Tea Box and Coloring Page

My friend Rosemary likes my printable tea boxes and also really likes stained glass effects. This is NOT the tea box template she means. But the other wouldn't have worked with this design. Click on the image to open a larger version. Print on card stock, cut, score, fold, glue. I recommend Chrome browser for printing directly from a browser.

I hope you also enjoy the coloring page. I really love how this dragonfly turned out and it will probably show up in other designs. Click the page for a larger version. Transparent PNG format.

Dragonfly art for screenprinting

I've got a couple more books I'm going to be reviewing in the next day or two, but I'm taking a short break from reading, being inspired, going to start something, and reading some more to post this piece of black and white art. If you got one of the 99 dollar Yudu machines today at Michaels (oh my.. those 1 day deals have been great all week haven't they? But Michael got me a Yudu for Christmas) or if you do anything that you would use 300 ppi 2 color art for, maybe this will be usefully. It's in gif format because that's the smallest file size in 2 colors. Click on the image for the full sized version, it's 8 inches across at 300 dpi.

I made it using this photograph I took last September at Potter's Marsh. (uploaded at 25% of the original size). That fake wood stuff has been wonderful for not getting lots of splinters down there, but it sure doesn't look as nice as wood for a photograph!
