Vote coloring page

Yay! I'm back. With a new coloring page. So let's get right to that.

It's that time of the year in the USA. Voting is very important to my family. We make a family event of it. This is a fairly simple coloring page. I'd LOVE to see this one colored in patterns and other interesting techniques.

If you're wondering what happened:

My vision is just bad enough that last year it got to the point where I had to go to bifocals or reading glasses. I'm really near-sighted. Normal vision changes in the last year though meant my regular glasses got a little strong  even for distance, and were entirely too strong for working on my computer. My reading glasses weren't strong enough.  So a couple months ago, I talked to my optometrist and got a prescription for reading glasses that is just right for drawing or reading. 

So for the end of summer, it was all about picking berries with my family and doing all sorts of fun things like that. This year was our BEST year ever for berry picking. We found an amazing place for saskatoon (aka service berries, June berries) berries, and we picked 7 gallons of lingonberries plus our normal raspberries. TG put up a lot of jam, and we gave away quite a bit too.  There will be a post about that soon. 

I Voted! coloring page

Hey! It's that time of the year again. Primaries leading up to the general election. Ballot measures and all that stuff.

I hope you enjoy my take on the "I Voted!" stickers and enjoy coloring this in.

6th Amendment Coloring Page- Bill of Rights series

The 6th Amendment! Over halfway done with the Bill of Rights series of coloring pages.

In all criminal prosecutions, the accused shall enjoy the right to a speedy and public trial, by an impartial jury of the State and district wherein the crime shall have been committed, which district shall have been previously ascertained by law, and to be informed of the nature and cause of the accusation; to be confronted with the witnesses against him; to have compulsory process for obtaining witnesses in his favor, and to have the Assistance of Counsel for his defence.

Liberty Enlightening The World coloring page

The full name of the statue we know with so much love as Lady Liberty or The Statue of Liberty is "Liberty Enlightening The World". That torch she carries is supposed to be a guide, a symbol of light in the darkness.

The images of a mob carrying torches is going to stick with us for a long time. Let's remember this torch too.

5th in my Bill Of Rights series- it's the 5th Amendment of the Constitution of the United States to print and color! I hope you enjoy it.

No person shall be held to answer for a capital, or otherwise infamous crime, unless on a presentment or indictment of a Grand Jury, except in cases arising in the land or naval forces, or in the Militia, when in actual service in time of War or public danger; nor shall any person be subject for the same offence to be twice put in jeopardy of life or limb; nor shall be compelled in any criminal case to be a witness against himself, nor be deprived of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor shall private property be taken for public use, without just compensation.

2nd Amendment coloring page- Bill of Rights series

The 2nd Amendment is the next up in my Bill of Rights coloring page series. You can find the rest (which right now is just the 1st Amendment) HERE.

A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.

1st Amendment coloring page- Bill Of Rights series

Today I'm starting a new series that I hope you will enjoy as much as you liked the birthstone/birth flowers series. It will be the Bill of Rights in simple to color patriotic layouts.

The first one is the First Amendment.

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.

I'm looking forward to seeing how other people color this stars and stripes mandala. I'm stuck in a red, white and blue mindset because it's nearly July, but I know some of you will use other colors that will just be brilliant!

Stars and Stripes printable snack tray- New Template!

I hope you like this new snack tray! It prints out on a single sheet of card stock and the finished tray is 5x3 inches on the bottom and 6x4 inches at the top and 1.5 inches deep. As you can see, I used waxed paper to line it and protect it from moisture from the fruit. It's about a 9 inch square? I'm guessing- I didn't measure the square after cutting it.

It matches the printable stars and stripes gift box posted here.

Printable Veteran's Day gift box

I'm still hard at work on another coloring book but wanted to post a printable box today. I asked TG for ideas and she's still excited from voting so she said "Something patriotic!"

Since Veteran's Day is coming up soon, I decided a gift box that could be filled with chocolate or other treats as a small thank you to the men and women who have served this country so well would be appropriate. I hope you enjoy it. I plan to fill it with hand written coupons for some of my husband's favorite things like "30 minute back rub" and "Roast turkey breast with apple sausage stuffing for dinner" for him.

Red, White and Blue Popcorn Box

It's been a while since I've done a 2 page box, but this popcorn box seemed like a good idea. You'll need to print out both pages at "fit to page" or 8x10 inches. The finished box is 6 inches tall, 4 inches wide, and 2 inches deep. It will hold just over 3 cups of popcorn! The spots on the image above aren't on the box you'll print. They are buttery fingerprints.

If you're wondering why the version in my photo has that nice vintage, soft color and the versions above don't, it's because I printed it on Astroparche card stock in Natural. Astroparche is affordable, and adds a nice effect to a lot of printables.

The Flag of the United States of America printable pages

It's very rare that I do specifically educational printable pages. Most of my printables are meant for a wide range of ages.

This one is educational, and my terms of use are the same as usual. Yes, it's okay to use my printables with your scouting troops, classrooms, and other groups.

The first one is available in both large PNG format (not transparent, sorry!) and jpg format. The second one is only available in large PNG format because of the size of the fonts used.

The flag was drawn to exacting specifications to be as proportionally accurate as possible. The pages below are lined for text.

This one needs to be printed in landscape format. The flag is marked on every star in order of statehood with the abbreviation for the state name and the year it became a state. The text on the stripes lists the 13 colonies and the exact day they became states. Large PNG format.
