Dragonscale Desk Set

Well, part of a desk set anyway. A pencil case and a little box to keep little things in.
For this, it's really important to score all folds and pre-fold before assembling. Glue in the first 4 triangle tabs, then glue the last triangle tab and the long side at the same time. I used a chopstick hold the bottom tabs in place while they set and to smooth the long tab. The bottom of the hexagon tube holds 7 pencils fairly snuggly and the top fits a bit loosely so it comes off and on easily. If you want to make it last a bit longer, there is enough ease in the top to be able to cover both pieces with packing tape to make it longer lasting.
I designed it mostly with kids in mind, but my daughter said "Grownups would like it too, but maybe in black, that would be sleek!" and after I *cringed* at the idea of printing out a lot of black, I said "How about if I just provide the template and people can use whatever kind of cardstock they want?" E said "That's a good idea." So the template for the pencil case is included.
As usual, click on the images for the full sized versions. Print all images at 100 dpi. My model isn't true to color because I'm trying to run my ink out, so it came out a little bluer than yours will. Unless of course, you're running out of ink too!
